Default hobbywing quicrun 1060 problem

This isn't for a crawler but close. I bought two 1060 esc's for my blizzard snow cat. I got them all hooked up they give me conformation that they are set up but I have no reverse. Now I did have to make a mix on my radio as one motor does run backwards. I have tried other radios and receivers and still no reverse, the led's light up like it's going in reverse but no power.

Do you have the jumpers installed in the ESCs?

For the motor running in reverse just swap the two wires. But make sure the motor has 0 degrees of timing.

No jumpers because I don't want break. I have put them in moved them around and still no reverse not even a bit. These are 380 motors so no advanced timing.

OK I see what you mean. I thought you wanted a brake. So yes, you should have the jumped removed for forward/instant reverse. Did you calibrate the ESCs?

I have tried multiple times with my stick radio and a pistol grip radio still no reverse.

Did you try connecting one ESC at a time and calibrating them individually?

And neither one will have reverse on it's own when hooked up individually?

Then something is wrong. It would be odd for both ESC'S to be dead on arrival.

Is your transmitter throttle trim set to 0?

Also try reversing the throttle channel on your transmitter and recalibrate the ESC's.

Just hooked them up one by one to a spektrum dx3s set them to that Radio and still no reverse. Guess I'm out the money and going to have to get something better.

That's extremely odd. Contact HobbyWing for a warranty claim. I've had a bunch of the 1060 ESCs as well as my dad and friends and we've never blown a single one. I thought I did, but it turned out being my radio.

I've got a Blizzard that's about to get ripped apart and rebuilt, I'm curious what you ended up doing?

I'm looking at upgrading/replacing the esc's and I'd to run it off my DX6i stick radio...

Have you found a good forum for these rigs?
