It's a fantastic plug though, much more rugged. I made sensor wires that get rid of the extra jst plug, as opposed to the adapter from castle that requires another sensor wire.

Will be nice if this cable be available at RPP, so I can just add to the cart next random order I do there.

| Re: New Castle Mamba X (sucessor of Mamba Max Pro) How's it more rugged? The wires still seem like the weak link. And breaking away from standard is odd to me. Is there a reason for it?

| Re: New Castle Mamba X (sucessor of Mamba Max Pro) It just looks sloppy when wiring and you have this ugly extension coming out of your esc.

I'll be sure we alert distributors to the product so Rpp can get them. Castle's plug is a slightly larger pitch. The pin interface is longer. The pin body is thicker. It is rated for unplugging and replugging many times. The standard sensor wire is not designed for mating cycles, and is recommended to be replaced after only 30 mates. Wire thickness is another issue, and the delicate nature is from cheap silicon or pvc jackets. Nice silicon doesn't tear easily. Teflon is really tough, but the inflexible nature makes it poor for installations. |

I'll just get another 2 in 1 from Holmes. No need to buy 2 harnesses.

John, any chance we will eventually see one of your ESCs with the auxiliary wire function of the X series? I'd love to have an esc like that Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk |

Hello, This may not regard to the mmp-x, but maybe to aux wire discussion. I got my Holmes Micro X / Stubby combo installed last week and I am tinkering around with adjustments now. As I understand, only one feature at a time can be adjusted by the aux wire, which is a little bit disapointing. I would like to set the standard profile to fwd/br/rev and the aux-profile to fwd/rev with drag brake on and reduced max speed. For upcoming escs with aux wire I would like to see two adjustable profiles, which can be switched by the aux wire. That way we could have a "virtual two-speed". By the way, I really love Holmes Micro X / Stubby combo already now and the Holmes sensor cable works perfect for me. Stollenritter |

Castle needs to take it a step farther. I recommended this to them, but maybe you can consider it for your ESCs when you add an aux wire. At the rate they work I don't see it happening this decade. I love the auxiliary wire feature that allows you to toggle the drag brake on and off. But when going fast you want brakes not instant reverse. So when the drag brake is toggled off it should switch from crawler mode (FWD/REV) to go-fast mode (FWD/Brake/REV).

How does this stack up to the already tried and true holmes br-xl? Was going to get the br-xl, and then this came out. Now I'm second guessing

Well I look forward to see what you come up with. Hopefully it has something similar to the aux wire and the ability to program via an android phone instead of only relying on PC. I would have loved to be able to use my castle link with a USB OTG cable or even wirelessly, but castle is lagging behind in that regard. Quote:

Nope, a few other adjustments to be made on the fly.
