you should be able to wire it just as you did with your castles esc....the BEC doesnt care what esc its wired to...

Personally I don't think you need a BEC with this ESC unless you're using a power hog servo.

But if you choose to use a BEC with this ESC just remember to disconnect the red wire.

Or use Holmes Hobbies RX Bypass harness, much better. You can make your own but for this price, just buy HH. :)

So if we were to use this adapter bypass harness do we still have to solder the BEC 2 wires to the esc....I think HH giving a few away on the 12 days of Christmas....

Bec needs full battery power, so yes.

Yeah, Really no need unless you're using a power hungry servo. This has a 7.4v BEC built right in. Makes life simple.

Im using a D772 and have yet to have a issue. Not really a power hungry servo though.
I want a Promodeler, that will be the test I imagine.

I have not had any issues. I'm running the Turnigy TGY-DS3509MG - coreless motor and torque is 30kg (416 oz-in) @ 6v / 40kg (555 oz-in) @ 8.4v.
