Default Looking for a motor guru.

Okay. This is for an scx10. I currently run a Holmes hobbies torquemaster expert 35t on 2-3s. I'm looking to upgrade, as I don't feel like the 540 motors have the umph I'm wanting. It's either torque, or wheel speed. I want the best of both. Lol. However brushless doesn't really interest me. Sensored is expensive, and I run in the rain, mud, snow, creeks. Pretty much everywhere sensored motors aren't fans of. So my question is...
Do I look into the dual 540 motors?
Or try a 775 (Traxxas 10t seems to be what I'm finding there)
2 speed trans (not my favorite route)
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

What ESC are you running? I run the same motor as you on 4s with a BRXL. Plenty of everything you're looking for, even after gearing down the pinion. With the stock pinion I was getting magic smoke from the motor.

dual 540's wont give you what you are looking for...if one 540 is inadequate, the two will be two times inadequate...

check out holmes hobbies brushed puller series motors...

For the moment I am. I've looked at the brxl. It will be my next esc. I'm thinking about putting the sv3v in my wraith.
My motor performs well. I'm not displeased with it by any means. I just feel I lack wheel speed at certain times. Basically, i want it to sling mud all over the place. But, I still want it to have that low end torque. But, like always, it's hard to have everything you want.
I run my wraith with a 27t on 3s. (Ae2) and it kills my scx in loose dirt, hill climbs, some muddy situations. But, out doesn't have the muscle the 35t does, but you already know this. It's also considerably lighter than the scx.

You want brushless.

No. Seriously, you want brushless. Everything you're asking for can be delivered in a brushless setup, and they come waterproof too.

Something about forging a creek with a couple hundred dollars worth of electronics scares me. Lol. I keep hearing go brushless. But I watched a buddy of mine kill his Tekin setup that was waterproofed by hellfire on its maiden voyage. While everyone else just crossed the creek with ease. Since that day, I've been iffy bout brushless...

Change your pinion and spur gear or change the timing in your motor I have a 35t boost motor in my wraith I know it's lighter my friend put a 35t takin in his wraith his wheel speed sucked after he did his my does not found out we have different gears in thevpinion and spur from the factory his has 32 pitch and I think a 56 spur mine has 48 pitch and a 80 tooth spur might check that out be cheaper than motor and esc change

His has a 2 spd tranny now and it's pretty nice best of both wolds
