spektrum dx5r anyone?

DX5R 5-Channel DSMR Transmitter with SR6000T | HorizonHobby

looking into updating my spectrum car fleet , right now I have 12 of my 35 cars hooked up to my aging but trustworthy dx3r, and the rest are on 2 hacked 3gtbs..so this new radio looks promising and not to much money.

I was wanting the DX6R but this one seems a bit more affordable. And it still has enough channels for my current trucks.

Been thinking about going back to spektrum. This is a good option.... I wonder how long until it is released?

You'll never regret getting a Spektrum. I love mine.

I have a futaba 4pls now as my #1 radio and still have my dx3s as #2. I liked the telemetry and would use it with my futaba but even after you have the radio and reciever each part to make it work is over $50.

I bought the 4pl to race with since my "cheap" dx3s was getting some glitches. Turned out my receiver was getting wet red clay inside it and was causing the issue.

I've been using the dx in the backyard for over 6 years and it's just now starting to have issues with the scroller wheel. Been a great radio.

Looking at getting this radio to replace my DX3R. Anyone know the older RXs I use with my DX3R are compatible with the DX5R?

Which means if you had any older DSM receivers (that the 3xr worked with) you would have to replace them. But its also compatible with DSMR protcol which does have a bit faster response time and the new receivers come with
