| Best LiPo charger for under $50
I am looking for a good LiPo charger for under $50 I really want it to have an A/C adapter for it so I can charge in the house. What would you all suggest for a good charger for under $50? |

You are asking a lot. If you really have to stay under $50 used will be the best best. I would pay a little more and go to Cheapbatterypacks.com. They have one thats $70 that should work well. CBP has treated me well on the stuff I have bought from them. Randy |

you can mod a computer power supply for like 2 bucks and use it to power 12volt chargers. http://www.hobbypartz.com/thac6smbachw.html this one plugs into wall no power supply needed. I don't have this specific one but have heard good things about this one. for $42.70 it's a steal! |

i have both turnigy accucel 6 and thunder AC6. while the AC6 doesnt have a fan, it stays cooler than the Accucel 6 with the fan. i personally like the AC6 more, due to its bright screen, downside is that the buttons are somewhat hard to press.. BTW, i hear there is a accucell DOA issue sometimes. id stick with aC6 since its in the US, so if it comes to you as a DOA, then you can ship it back without over paying |

this is one that is on my list to add to the fleet. 200w and less than 33 bucks. I have a powersupply to run it. search for modded computer power supply on here and you should find some easy instructions. everyone has a nerd friend who has a power supply or 2 lying around

Awesome!! Thanks so much for the info folks. I had the Thunder AC6 sitting in my cart from Hobbypartz, but wanted to see what the masses said about this subject. You made up my(very indecisive) mind for me. I will order up the AC6! Thanks folks |

EBAY, the mystery charger is a knockoff of the b6 charger and you can pic them up for $30 and they charge everything even a lead acid battery I have 2 of them and never had a problem, also has the balance plugs built right into the side of the charger. Also turnigy has some great chargers for cheap.

| X2 I've had mine for 3 years now and it's been thru hell and never once has it let me down. You can pick up a power supply when you buy the charger. There about $10. http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=7523 http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...idProduct=6256 Last edited by transambill; 01-19-2011 at 10:52 PM. Reason: cause I can |

| i would agree, but ive been having issues of it heating up pretty easy with the fan... my AC6 with no fan stays cooler, and chargers at a higher amperage.. |

I use to charge 2 and 3S 5000 mAh packs back when I raced my ERBE and Slash and it would get a little warm but now just my 3S 1300 mAh crawler packs so it doesnt ever really get above room temp.

To fix your fan, open up the casing, and just take off the sticker on the Fan, and just lube it! then seal it back up with electric tape. periodically lube it, and itll stay quite. all youll hear is the air getting sucked in

Thanks for all of the help here folks. I ordered the Thunder AC6 Smart 5-in-1 Balance Charger/Discharger based on your recommendations. My question is, it says in the description that this charger does not come with a deans connector, so those of you that have this charger, what are you doing to charge your LiPo batteries with deans connectors on them? Do you just use the alligator clips and connect them to your battery, or do you cut one of the other leads and solder on a deans connector? Thanks |
