Going to find out shortly i think. I thought i damaged my 20KG Power HD so bought another only to realise my original was ok (stripped alloy servo horn)

Since i had a spare and they're so cheap i'm going to try it on 7.4v shortly and see if there's much difference from 6v and how long it lasts.

I imagine that at 7.4v it will only cause more but as it doesn't get warm at all in the slightest i might get away with it. It has silicone conformal coating on this one as well so it'll get hotter than a non coated one as well

Just got an email from John, he is retooling and expects about a 3 week time before ready to ship.

Also some of the best, really depends where in FL you live and what ins you have. Unfortunately concierge Drs are the rage now.

So far so good on the Evo P2 servo. Installed in my 1.55 Rock Beast equipped Grand Cherokee. Decent amount of torque at 6 volts (250 or so) and really quiet. Slightly bigger case than a Hitec 7950, so I had to do a bit of grinding to make it fit. Just driven it a bit around the yard, we'll see how it does long term. I'm going to get another and make a servo winch out of it. I'll let you know how that works out too.

Been loving my new Alturn servo. Great specs! I went with the EVO P2, but they have all kinds of options (including titanium). Cant beat these specs for $56 shipped. Currently using it in my eRevo as a single servo and been doing a good job! Had to get a BEC though. This is the same company that makes the trackstar servos.

6v : 252 oz-in/0.10sec
7.4v: 344oz-in/0.07sec
8.4v: 435oz-in/0.048sec

A friend of mine bought that Spektrum S6230 and it did not live up to his expectations. Broken gear after just a few front yard outings, and he still has the flimsy factory plastic steering linkage. I guess they're warrantying it for him, but he's going back to a Savox 1230.

I've had decent luck with the $11 TowerPro 958's, but they're not exactly going to rip a knuckle off or wag the tail of the truck in a bind.

You're probably right, I'm pretty sure he is just using the rtr Tactic radio. Either way, there are much cheaper servos in the 300 oz range, and much stronger servos in the same price range (ie: promodeler 420, Savox 1230 etc.)

I just bought two of the Power HD 20KG servos. One for my class 1ish Cherokee and the second for my stock SCX10-II with a hard body. Going to test them both out the 29th and see how they work.

Got them from Value Hobby for $17 each.

Power HD 20KG is probably the best sub $20 servo you can buy. I've seen some $40+ servos that didn't seem as good as them.

Sadly, no. I've been nearly constantly sidetracked away from my project since I started this thread. Kinda eyeballing the PM unit though...

Did you order directly from DS Pro? If so how long did it take to receive your items?
