Default GoolRC Brush Motors

I've seen a lot of positive feedback on the GoolRC products but can't find anything specific about their brush motors when I do a search, other than people have used them. So, those of you using these, what are your thoughts.

I've always used cheap Axial canned motors up to now but stock is none existent right now and I need a new motor. Will say I've been okay with the Axial motors up to now, anywhere from 1 to 2 years life, probably 150 packs ran through at 2+ hours per pack.

I'm looking at the GoolRC 27T and 35T rebuildable motors. Price is comparable to what I've been spending on the Axial motors.

Most of my RCing is trail running with some rock crawling.

I bought a few of the 35t for 9.99. Same motor as many sell for 25. I run a pair in my Bullyll with no issues on 3s

I have the 27t running on 2S. Seems to work fine. I mean at $13 can't hurt to just try one out. They seem like the same motors as the Yeah Racing Hackmoto v2, but re-branded.

I've used one , a 35t on a 2cell, burnt it up in 3 runs...... Bought another 35t, I geared down , my motor still was running hot, went up a few teeth on my spur gear , motor still hot, my error on those motors being hot,(no idea how) so opt out and bought a hh 550 silver can....just my personal experience with those motors, I even broke them in too.
They do resemble those yeah racing and hack motors( I think that's the name hack) and another motor,(don't remember the name)....and those were 15 to 30 bucks , same looking can , different names....

I've got a few of them and had nothing but good experiences with them all.

I've advanced my timing 12 degrees on each as well.
Just check all the bolts are tight on the motor can end bell before fitting.

I'm sure they're the same motors as the Hackmoto, RS540 Sport Tuned, and others.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the feedback. I'll order a 27T and a 35T. As mentioned, worth testing at the price.

Default GoolRC Brush Motors

Side note I also run a 2650 Gool brushless in my 2wd on 3s
That one cost 24.00

From what I've learned Gool is the manufacturer for most RC motors
They produce limited runs of house motors that's what these deals are. I bought two and opened up a Gool and a RC4WD had two different trays for NO confusion as both (all parts) were identical , except the label. Both were timed the same and used same interior markings.

Good cheap motors !

I hope they're not too "limited" as they're extremely good value for money. Best $10 motor maybe?
I've noticed they've released some new turns recently. I can see they offer a 17t and 13t now.
13t on 3s, geared low might be fun for hill climbs

I bought two 55 turn for 16.00 shipped and have dozens of packs through them and no problems. Very smooth and tons of torque, Top speed as I have it geared is a fast pace walk, but that is what I wanted.....Run very cool with no issues

I haven't used a Gool but definitely consider the Titan 550 21T (~28T equivalent in a 540 can) if the 540 isn't what you were looking for. Great affordable motor IMO and geared down likely will be a very cool running motor for extended crawling.

Goolrc is not the manufacture of most rc motors. Many of the race motors are made by feiago. There are multiple other companies who make RC motors, including brushed units. Goolrc is just another reseller of the motor (as are many of the products they stamp their name on)...HGMotor (its stamped right on the endbell of most versions) is who makes unit sold by Goolrc, Muchmore, Rc4wd, integy, among others. There can be differences between them as well, as they will make it to your specs if you buy enough.

The chinese will say anything to sell stuff....including claiming they make stuff they don't.

Because it's... Chinese? Their margins can afford to be a lot lower than say, Holmes, Castle, or Tekin, etc. You're paying for two things when you buy stuff (mostly): Material and man power. In the US, both are vastly more expensive.

While motors may not be made here in the states... This is per Castle's website.

Not to mention, the CS is most likely light years better than GoolRC.

not trying to start a thing here.
mamba is the only thing made here.
Castle Holdings LLC (China) is a WOFE (a wholly owned foreign enterprise) in Zhongshan China.
no big deal, just fact. it printed on their motor also.
not bashing.

I did a quick search and avg cost of living was $2.3k in USA (single), while one couple said it cost them both less than $1500/mo in China living comfortably (wining & dining, vacations, etc). The USA figure includes zero disposable income.

This sort of motor, sometimes refered to the "Epic can" for the original Japan makers, was made by the millions before brushless became the rage a decade ago. You could probably take a Trinity motor made in 1999 and mix parts with this motor. In fact using an old high-end motor's can with the new high-turn armature would probably lead to a stronger motor, presuming they fit together.
