| Waterproof servo......
Is it really to much to ask for ? Ive trashed so many servos, i dont even look at prices as such now I'll try any. Apart from the plastic gears ive found the traxxas 2075 to be best in my almost constantly submerged scx10. I've just ruined a turnigy mg1501on a single outting. On strip down it was full.if water. This is getting tiring ! I don't need masses of torque the 2075s have been great i just need something that will last. Ive favoured the lowley towardpro mg995r packed with grease but the quality is poor and they die real quick. Help ?

I found the Savox SW-1210SG very reliable over the fast two year, even under extreme mud and water condition on my heavy 4kg Wraith. Good torque and speed though. |

If you dont care about the torque buy a cheap tactic tx55 or something like that and waterproof it yourself and be on your way. 200oz for 22 dollars at my local hobby shop. Plus a few dollars in grease. Or however you like to waterproof. Traxxas servos are overpriced by a long shot in my opinion.

Are you really getting that far on a 2075!? (not 2075x which is the metal gear one) They are very submersible and watertight, but as far as stripping, they wear out very fast. I blew through 2 of them in an scx10ii within 3 days. Great for a basher with servo savers and such, but not for a crawler by any means in my opinion. I'm surprised they lasted that long for you.

I use one in my little monster (Yeti 5,5kg), and the savöx 1210sg took all the abuse (salt water, water, snow, mud, dust ....) without issues. | |

Another vote for power hd 20kg .. as long as you don't need a ton of torque I find them very durable for the money and they center well and I like that they have 25t spline

I use Hitec 645MG, it's not listed as waterproof but mine get submerged regularly and nothing has happened to them. One I had for 5 years before it stripped Sent from my SM-N910P using Tapatalk |

| Re: Waterproof servo...... I have at least a 3 year old one that I pulled out of a Rustler in a pinch. So far so good. I haven't submerged it in water (yet) but I'm surprised its lasted this long.. maybe its the analog systematics thats helping stay together for so long running it with a 2.4gHz radio?

During summer series I frequently dunk my Holmes HSV500, just have to disassemble it occasionally to regrease the gears, the board's waterproofing is excellent. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk |

Another vote for Power HD for me. The red ones come in a waterproof case that is full of rubber gaskets, seals and o rings. The blue ones have the same casing but have a conformal coated board as well. I've tried both the 20kg and 23kg and would recommend either. |

Habe just ordered a couple red power hd servos and just realised my other wraith beater has a ho d3015 which is regularly submerged and mis treates so ive orderes another one of them as well. Funny how sometimes the cheap stuff can be ok its just a pain having to sift through them all. The Ho d3015 is ony £10 free shipping from china. Excellent. Someone needs to do a sevo group test again soon. But a manly test including lengthy submerging and gloopy mud.

I submerged my new Power HD (red) 20KG one in the sink with the water running for a good 20 minutes and on opening it for inspection inside was 100% dry. They're not advertised as waterproof but the red allow case has gaskets top and bottom. Where the cables exit the case there is a gasket. Rubber O ring behind the output shaft bearing and small rubber o rings on all the screws as well. The only issue i had with one, is where i took it apart to waterproof the board and i ripped a gasket on putting it back together. The water got in and eventually the motor rusted and got sticky. The 2nd one i used never had any issues and is still going strong as i never ripped any gaskets on it. |

I've been waiting on this to come back in stock - Power HD is stepping up the game, they just need better distribution of this one - The Power HD DW25LV Waterproof Servo: https://www.banggood.com/Power-HD-DW...p-1083555.html Available here for another $15: for 1/10 Crawler/Buggy#DW-25LV (FREE SHIP), ,(DW-25LV) by Power HD Waterproof 4.8-6.6V Super Torque Digital Servo 0.13sec/347.2oz-in/25kg-cm I could only imagine if they boosted it up a bit to take up to 7.4v! It's got 347.2 oz/in at 6.6v max - and a black aluminum case for those of us who prefer a stealthier look. Titanium and steel gears. If I can score one for closer to $50 than $65, I might have to try it out. Last edited by durok; 05-29-2017 at 07:51 PM. |
