|  With the mamba having 8amp bec is a separate bec still needed
Building a bomber kit using a savox 1230 servo. Was looking into the mamba x slate crawler combo and it has a built in 8 amp bec. With internal bec that high is a separate bec still recommended. Will be running on 3s.

Depends. If you have a normal rx and hv servo is one scenario. Front, rear steer with a shift servo and winch is another... For different reasons of course.

No, you do not need an external BEC.

No external BEC needed on the new X series ESC's.. For me, I actually factored that in to my purchase decision as a being equivalent to a $30 savings since I don't have to buy a BEC.. |

Thanks for the advice, no lights/winch, etc just a steering servo so it looks like it's good to go without it.
