I'm think of getting a mamba x/castle 3800kv combo for an axial bomber. I gather that the mamba x esc is pretty sweet bit how are the castle motors? Would I be better off just buying a separate motor? If so what are the recommendations? Used primarily for bashing. Sent from my ONEPLUS A6013 using Tapatalk |

I had the castle slate 3800kv. Things a powerhouse in an scx10 so id imagine itd be perfect for a bomber. Just remember to set the motor temp cutoff for 180*F. Motors waterproof and is a beast in the mud. And itll handle 2-4s batts Sent from my LG-M703 using Tapatalk |

The castle motors are great for bashers. Like said above, set the temp cutoff for no higher than 180. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk |

Another option is to get a slower motor an up the voltage. Castle slate motors are max 100000rpm

The Mamba X is one of the most versatile esc's on the market from crawling, bashing , 1/10th and 1/8th scale racing. I run the Mamba X in my 1/8th buggy for 2 years now wit zero issues on 4s lipo and it's a beast. Combo the Mamba X with the Slate 3800 and you will have a fantastic combo. 4 pole power along with the Mamba X will give you unlimted versatility.
