Exclamation CC MMX/MX, next firmware wishlist

I know the folks at CC try hard to improve each version of the firmware. Here's what I'd like to see in the next release:

1) Smaller increments in the BEC voltage. For example, right now you can only choose between 6v and 7.5v, with nothing in between. A choice of 6.5/7.0v etc would be nice.

2) Separate brake and reverse curves.

Most upper end transmitters have the ability to provide anti-lock braking by very quickly pulsing the brake pressure

I may be brain farting badly on this, but I'm pretty surprised that I don't see some type of "traction control" programming in ESCs

I know that you can tune a few different settings and achieve a more manageable/appropriate acceleration/power delivery/throttle curve to suit the surface you are running on, but it seems that it would be a relatively simple execution to put in a pulsed power delivery that would be an effective traction control without having to use a full blown AVC/gyro setup

My castle based esc's have a torque setting along with punch and start up. Much better than a one dial traction assist.
My Futaba has expo curves for throttle and brake

Number 1 is a hardware limitation not a software one, so we can't add that functionality with a firmware update.

Transmitter ABS doesn't work if you are using reverse because the transmitter doesn't know if it is braking or reversing and makes the reverse really jittery

So does that mean #2 is a possibility?

1. Why would you want or need that?

Many servos are rated for 6.0-7.4v operation. The 7.5v option is fine for max performance and I'm not concerned about the 0.1v at all. However, there are many cases where the servo will output more than enough speed and torque at 6.0v, in which case I like to not operate at the maximum voltage to promote a longer service life and less heat. In this case, I think a 6.5v option would be a good compromise between a long service life on the one hand, and good performance on the other even when taking into account some voltage drop during operation.

My vote for the .5 increments in bec voltage is in with yours.

I just put in a new servo rated for a max 8.4v so I just used the max setting of 8.0v. I would have Ideally set it at 7.4 or 7.5 which sounds like it could've been a very feasible option in the next update, but as @robert@castle mentioned it is a hardware setting not a software setting so out the window that goes. Setting it at 7.0 would have been to low.

If I'm understanding you right, you want to set the BEC to 7.5v? That's already one of the options available. Mine is at 7.5v right now.

So the only .5 increment is inside the 7v range? I'm sorry, I'm going to have to plug up my castle link tommorow and check it out. I thought it just went from 5.5, 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0v.
