Default help with winch

alrighty so im thinking about buying a yeah racing ya-0388k winch, it comes with a switch and the winch itself but my question is does the switch get wired up to my transmitter or my battery? iv looked on youtube for roughly an hour for installation videos but only pull up videos where a 2nd transmitter is used for the remote that the winch comes with. If any of you guys have a winch without a remote can you possibly make a video of your installation and how to use it?

If your just using that switch then you would just power it directly from your battery (or get another really small battery just for the winch. You only need to tie into your reciever/transmitter if you have a 3rd channel and can run it from your radio

A little more ....You would splice into your power wires and then run your winch with that switch, I'm assuming it's a 3 way, forward-stop-reverse switch. If your using that then you will need to mount it somewhere you can get to with the body on so you can turn it on and off. Hope that helps.

Depending on your needs, this controller might get you going if you have a free three position channel on your transmitter:
No Drift Winch Controller! (using 3 position transmitter channel)

If you have a flysky gt3c you can run that winch with the 3rd channel, doesn't even have to be modded. Can post yt link showing how when I get home if needed.
