| Tactic TR325 failure
I have a Redcat Gen 8 I swapped a Tactic 300/TR325 radio/receiver into. It also has the Redcat/Hexfly 3225 servo. So far it’s wiped out 2 receivers. First receiver died with a Hobbywing Justock setup; second died with a HW880. Both set 6.0 volts, verified with a Fluke meter. Never been wet. Nothing on the 3rd channel yet. First receiver turned right, went full power. Power cycling it, now it just flashes. 2nd just went dead, no light on receiver or confirmation light on the 880. Time to chuck the servo? What voltage is it set for? Don’t use 7.4 That’s the only thing that ever cooked mine. I swapped to Futaba and zero issues. Does the 880 have two bec settings? Hang up and Drive Last edited by mikemcE; 10-11-2020 at 12:09 PM. |

Its not common, but I've had shorted servos take out receivers before.
