Re: Radiolink tx/rx

I recently purchased the RC3S, but have only used it for bench testing so far. It is still a 4ch and has all the same functions as the RC4G. From what I could find, the 4g will not work with the re4h-h receivers and will only work with the re4h-g (gyro) receivers. The 3s will supposedly work with either receiver, I will be ordering a gyro receiver soon to test out. In my hand, it physically looks and feels much like a Spectrum DX4S, but it uses FHSS (frequency hopping) like Futaba which is part of what sold me on it, it's been said that it is functionally a copy of the Futaba 4pl. For the $38 or so that I gave for the rc3s with receiver, I could not find a better value, and that includes the $30 Flysky gt3b. I can't find how the rc4gs in your picture differs from the rc4g?

I have the RC3S seems to work good use the 3rd channel for the dig on my Wraith. The only drawback so far is its a little on the heavy side but I'm still running AA batteries.

73 bucks free shipping, is it worth the money?

Not worth the money, I think you should be able to find it for 50ish $.

I've got two (older versions), one Radiolink RC4G and a Turnigy rebranded one, good stuff.

Got mine for about $38 on eBay.
I think hobbbyking has them also think they are listed as trackstar brand.

In my humble opinion, these are one of the best budget 4 channel radios in the market now ;-)

They(rcJuice) make this seem like if its been updated?

Re: Radiolink tx/rx

I still haven't found any info on how the RC4GS differs from the RC4G... but I did receive my re4h-g gyro receiver today and can confirm that it binds with the RC3S transmitter and the steering gyro does function (though it's not as invasive as Spectrum AVC when they are both set to 100%) and you can control its sensitivity with the small knob on the right side of the tx. That reinforces the RC3S being the best value of the bunch. Pretty cool setup for my Slash for general bashing and handing the radio to my 4 year old.

I'm happy enough with my Radiolink in my Wraith and 2wd Slash that I'll be ordering a couple more receivers to try in my 4ws Redcat and Baja Rey, maybe even others. I'm even considering getting my older son one for his birthday since he'll be up to 4 cars himself. It'll be nice to carry 2 transmitters when we have an "rc day" instead of 10+ rtr radios.

I have 2 with zero complaints. Best bang for the buck out there.

Always good to hear positive opinions about a product that you want to buy, makes it easier to decide.... Again many thanks for the feedback

I got the new rc4gs with the 4 Channel gyro receiver.
I have a question for the other users around here.

If I plug a light controller on Aux Channel 3 what happens to the gyro?
What if all 4 channels are used (winch or 2-speed)?

The manual is in chinese-engrish so I didnt find the information I need.

I'll use it on a bomber rr10 so the gyro could be useful on the flat areas between crawling spots.

Re: Radiolink tx/rx

I have a capacitor plugged into channel 3 and have noticed that the gyro isn't always functioning. Coincidence, or is the cap causing interference? I'll unplug it one of these days and see if the gyro stays functional 100% of the time.

On a possibly related note, I went to a local private track last weekend and had some serious glitching. The car (2wd Slash) would randomly go full throttle and full left, needless to say I got off the track as soon as possible. There were as many as 15 other radios (almost entirely rtr radios, mostly traxxas) on within 100' of me at the time, and the car worked fine when there were only 8 of us running. One other car had similar happen with his Traxxas TSM equipped radio and the corner marshal had to catch it and kill power (it was nosed up to a wall doing a 4wd burnout at the time.) I had no such problems with my Spektrum. I am hesitant to put my 4wd sct on the radiolink now, but I'm not real concerned with running the crawlers and bashers on it since they're almost never exposed to that much radio activity.

I have the HobbyKing rebrand which is the Turnigy TS4G. I love it!

I hate the feel of the current FlySky models which is why I avoid those despite some of the benefits.

Do you use all 4 channels with the gyro still on?

I turn the gyro off. I don't like them.

But no, I've never tried using the gyro and all 4 channels.
