Problems

I am having some problems with my torsion, I wired it all tonight, I have an EVX controlling a 55t mated to an emaxx tranny, when in low, truck goes forward, until I steer with hs645. In high it does fine with steering, oh yeah and I am running a 7.2v battery. Anyone got a clue what is wrong? I have never had this problem with previous trucks

Not a clue, since you didn't say what it does when you steer in low.

Sounds like your BEC. But I thought the EVX had a decent BEC rating? Generally, when traveling at higher speeds, the tires should be easier to turn and it doesn't strain the servo as bad, which is why it'll steer in high and not in low. At least, that's what my fuzzy logic tells me...

EVX BEC is 1.5amp I believe.

5V 1.5A BEC on the EVX...

Well, 1.5A should move a 645 ok, although I'd say it's marginal. My system is running 1.5A and it works but doesn't work great. It could also be a crap battery pack. Just the other day, one of my older batteries caused the same problem you're having.

I use an RX pack with my EXV.. The BEC on the EVX does move a 645MG but not as fast or strong as I'd like... That's why I yanked the red wire and put in an 1100MaH 5 cell hump-pack on... That beefed the servo up to where I'm totally happy with it now and I get great run times on some el-cheap-o 3300's...
