Those are just color indicators to remind you how you left the pack. Not a bad idea, I use a reuseable cable tie for my charged packs, if the tie is off they are discharged, and if they are in the storage bin, the are in storage mode.

I use bread bag clips to do that. Nice idea though for the people that want a more "manufactured" item.

I use a rubber band. I use it to hold the wires to the pack when charged, and at the bottom of the pack when discharged

I have a simpler system:
- If it's in the truck, it's charged.
- If it's on the bookshelf in front of the charger, it's discharged.
- If it's in the pile of batteries in the corner of my study, it's storage-charged.

As an added bonus, my system is free and requires no extra fiddly-bits whatsoever.

I use a highly-organized system of piles in my workshop. This solution is probably better ;) I guarantee that I'd forget the color code at some point and end up at the track with a box full of the wrong batteries, because on that particular morning my caffeine-deprived brain would associate "grey" with "charged" for whatever reason.

I'm not sure that type of system would work for everybody though. In my case, I charge after use, so I have a pile of charged batteries, and they're not necessarily assigned to a specific vehicle, so putting them in the vehicle isn't practical. In my case, I need a visual identifier, so the rubber band does the job. The rubber band serves the dual purpose of keeping the wires neat and orderly when I stack the batteries in my ammo box or charging bag.

Very few people will buy these considering Traxxas won't even sell you their plugs anymore. And who, in their right mind, buys Traxxas batteries? Only newbs that don't know better.

Well, there are already a lot of batteries out there with Traxxas plugs, there are third-party knockoffs of the Traxxas plugs, one can still buy the authentic Traxxas plugs (only as a single male/female, not in bulk), and there are a lot of "newbs who don't know anything" (they have always outnumbered us serious folks and always will as long as the hobby survives). So I'd say that there is a market for this idea. I'm just not yet convinced that it's a good idea
