Hey John. I have a Trailmaster Sport 21 turn 550 in my Axial UMG10. I’d like to put one of your 1800kv Revolver motors in it. How does the power of both Revolvers (regular and snub nose) compare to the Trailmaster that I have. I’m not searching for any more power since I’m more than happy as far as that goes, and the price of the 2 Revolvers isn’t a factor, so if the snub nose is as powerful/more powerful than what I have I’d probably go that route. Thanks!

Snub nose revolver has more torque then a 550. More power as well. Torque will be about here for a 550. 50% more than a 540. Handy gearing spreadsheet Last edited by Voodoobrew; 01-30-2020 at 10:20 PM. |

Voodoo, thanks for that graphic! Man those little suckers make some power! Guess I’ll be more than fine putting the snub nose in my UMG10. It’s all stock with the exception of aluminum beadlocks. But I’m also thinking of putting a standard Revolver in my TRX4 Tactical. Similar scenario but I shed over a pound off of the body removing the inner fenders/spare tire and other doo dads off of the back, removed the locking/unlocking diffs and servos and put spools in, but left the 2 speed so thinking a standard in there. Enough rambling, and thank you again for the info. Helped me a bunch.

What he said, lol! I personally lean to the standard, but a snubnose is plenty for most rigs

The bigger ones have the benefit of more surface area to dissipate heat better. All that power will probably create heat...I don't hear about them overheating often, and gearing down can stop the heat as well.

Hey - JRH, when you have a moment... Could you let us know what improvements the new V2 Puller Pro motors have over the originals? https://holmeshobbies.com/motors/bru...ro-series.html |

I went ahead the threw the updates into the product description on my site https://holmeshobbies.com/motors/bru...ro-v2-std.html Improvements from v1 include better drag brake, adjustable and more accurate sensors, better performance in reverse rotation rigs, beefier solder tabs for lower resistance, and a sideways oriented sensor port for tight installs. |

Nice! Now look at my challenge on the Holmes Hobbies fan page on Facebook. Let's see a 1/6 scale revolver for the new Mamba Monster X 8s! The sound would be GLORIOUS in a basher! Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk |

I think a 1/6th scale revolver would violate any local noise ordinaces. __________________________ Handy gearing spreadsheet |

I want to know how to reverse the rotation of a holmes puller 500 brushed motor? Can i just loosen the the screws and rotate it 180 like with the crawlmaster pro motors? Or do i have to completely remove the endbell and install it 180? I know i can just switch the wires, but i like my wiring to be proper.
