Default A123 racing lipo battery

out of curiousity, does anyone have any experiance with A123 racing's Hypersonic lipo battery packs? I was thinking about investing in the 2300 9.9v pack and the sonic charger.

Thats what I wanted to know. I know the specs I've read them, how ever I wasn't sure how they would perform in a crawler

I really like my 3 cell one I run in my super. It is pretty big, but it's really light for it's size. I has a ton of punch and can discharge faster than any other type of battery.

Charging is a breeze, just plug it in and walk away, 15 mintues later it's done.

I also have the turbo system, it's very cool, due to these packs being able to discharge at such a high rate you can exchange runtime for power and bump up the voltage in 4 steps all the way up to 14.4V.

My clod with 60 turns and 8 tooth pinions moves pretty quick on 14.4v ;)

Technically, they're a Lithium Phosphate based cell, but Li-Ion is simpler to type and say.

Thanks for the info Jason. When you say 3 cell pack are you talking about the 9.9V.

In my 2.2 crawler I was thinking about runing the 6.6V pack with the turbo system, for the flexability of more power. Of course that means less run time but with a 15 minute full charge time....who cares?
