As for torque specs, a lot of the claimed numbers out their are dynamic torque, or slamming the servo to get such high numbers. We rate ours to true torque, so the T-440 is 450oz/in at 7.2V, Dynamic Torque was closer to 600oz/in. Once the servo heats up obviously torque drops as warm components don't work as efficiently. That's where we spent a ton of time tuning the servos so they don't fade as bad. They are also super precise because we use a magnetic encoder instead of a potentiometer. All will be listed on the site soon after official release. Tower wasn't supposed to put them up yet.
My bad... Lol. I saw them and got a bit excited.

I'm glad you chimed in to lay down some facts and defend your good product.

Ty, send one to White trash to beat on. His opinion on servos and ability to kill them carries weight around here. Would be nice to see some testing.

I'm flattered. I can toss it on a built sportsman rig with over a pound of knuckle weight on the front axle or a monster truck build I'm doing now with double long side mad force axles and 40 series mud slingers. Big power and huge size.

Everything will break eventually if you smash it into the rocks going fast over and over again. Without a servo saver or much give in the steering linkage all the force is transferred to the servo.

So what is really a reasonable expectation?

What is it you see break most often in the servo?

The average servo in a crawler either breaks the middle pin, the press fit of the gear touching the output, or the first gear/pinion teeth. Chasing the break point around just ends up increasing the gear height, which makes the middle pin bend more, which makes the pin larger diameter, which means thinner teeth, which means taller gears, blah blah blah. I've been chasing this tail for years now, and settled on a not so extreme geardown ratio so we can have larger pins but still keep enough meat in the teeth and press fits.

Good luck on your new products. Glad to see you putting some nice programming features on it that ties in with your existing programmer.

I haven't killed a servo in a go fast rig in a long time. I run a savox 1283 on my bashers, it uses an extra gear, the size is great to package and it just flat works. Before going to that servo I would wipe out gears, pins top cases (plastic) and of course the 2 piece gear.

My sportsman rigs where where I eat servos. I've burned up boards, motors and a pin that killed a gear set. The amount of weight I run and the way that I use the servo to move the whole rig around is a servo killer.

It's interesting that you bring up pin size. I busted the pin on a bluebird h50b and it took out the gear set. I tore down a long dead solar d772 and found it had the same 2mm diameter pin and that was the only part of those servos I didn't break. I stuffed that pin in a friend's bluebird and it's been good for a year. Go figure a pin from a $23 servo is an upgrade for a $110 servo.

So ty, when are these Marvel's going to be out? I love the fact I can program center point. I'm in need of a servo, or 3.

They are listed on rpp for pre order, due "late December" ummm...

Looks like the t-440 is $165 plus the latest & greatest bluetooth hotwire to program it puts it at $250 for me. That's a hard pill to swallow so it had better fully kick ass. If not I'll sell it and get another savox 2290.

So nobody has one yet. hrm. I have to try something new. HH is taking my shv500v2's back. I guess they have a problem with the pcb. Somebody has to have tried these.

Just an FYI, I found these on TQhobby.com for 135 shipped.

I placed my order. No Bluetooth module. A little birdie told me they will be at the hobby shop by the end of next week.

I talked to tekin 2 weeks ago. They said the big hold up was a problem with packaging. He told me he thought it would be one more week. Ugh my dealer has been telling me just one more week for 2 months now. Getting pretty frustrated. I have 3 on order.
