Tekin prices on 98% of their stuff is stupid it ain't just pre release.

I bet their "monster" servo puts out under 600 oz but the fan boys will lap them up like gravy on dog food.

Anybody that pays over $100 for a 1/10th scale servo needs a mental exam. Tekin is good stuff, but the day I pay $200+ for a servo is the day Tekin has a gun to my head.

The high torque version is probably 440oz-in looking at the names.

I’ll stick with PM and Holmes for half the price

Power ain't cheap. $150 gets you just shy of 700 oz in a savox 2290 and it's worth every single penny. There are more expensive servos out there that put out less power and people are lined up to buy them. It just don't make any sense to me.

I am still betting those prices will come down. Tower preorder prices always start high.

If they don't come down Tekin won't sell any except to the most diehard of fans and their team drivers that get them free or at substantial discounts.

No RC that I own, not even my 1/5th scale, needs 700 ounces IMO.

My wraith due to the weight, tires, and foams needs an honest 450. Blew up a holmes in a couple of weeks. So far the PM is flawless, have had to replace a few rod ends though, getting wedges and wiggling

Not all of them. The vast majority, yes they're crap but they do have some top notch servos these days. I'll put a 2290 up against any of the top tier servos anyday.

Is it 2012? Both Savox and Spektrum are well past their teething issues.

~30 trucks at a comp last weekend, the only electronic failures were a non-waterproof bec and... a savox servo...

Spektrum triggers still have issues, and the displays are impossible to read with polarized glasses. On top of having issues if there are more than ~20 of them on in the same area.

All companies have failures. There's no telling what that Savox servo had been through previously. I'm sure it wasn't the only Savox servo in the field.

What issues do the Spektrum triggers have?

The display issue isn't. That's just nitpicking. Polarized sunglasses cause issues with lots of displays and other things. Hell, my car and motorcycle displays look like crap through polarized lenses.

I've been at huge races where there are tons of people under the same roof with Spektrums and I've never had an issue nor have I seen an issue. Never.

The rumor is that Spektrums have issues next to FlySky radios. I have radios from Airtronics, Futaba, Spektrum, Radiolink, and RTRs and I've never had a single issue with any of them. And I run with a bunch of FlySky radios.

Most of the Spektrum issues are BS hearsay that started on the internet years ago. Spektrum has revised their 2.4GHz technology numerous times since then.

It was basically wraiths and bombers breaking pins on the HV500s. Just released v2 with a beefier center pin. So far so good in the bigger rock racers!
