Problem with a Holmes HV500 Servo

I have contacted Holmes twice over the last couple weeks through their website but have not gotten a reply, don't know if my question just didn't go through or what but I am looking for some advice.

I am having a problem with my HV500 I am hoping you can help me with. I have not pulled the servo apart yet to see if there is anything wrong on the inside but I have checked the BEC and tested the servo without it, still acts the same. I have also checked all the connections and cleaned them. I am running a Holmes bypass with the Castle BEC. The servo stutters sometimes and it can "hang up" on returning to neutral and take a second to return or can stutter when turning slowly. I have unhooked the steering linkages and there is nothing binding. I have also tried another servo and it works normally.
I have included a link to a private video that I uploaded to my YouTube channel that shows the problem. If you have any problems viewing it please let me know. The humming in the video is a fan I run on the ESC, never needed it but like insurance on a long trail run.

Hopefully there is something I can easily do to fix this servo. Going to take this opportunity to tear down and clean/relube the truck while it is down. Hopefully someone can give me some advice before I tear the servo apart so I know what I am looking for.
Thank you for your time.

Sounds like dirt in the pot, but JRH knows far more. Usually takes a couple of days thru the website, but Erin or Justin will get you hooked up.

A dirty pot sounds like it is probably an easy fix. Thanks, hopefully they will chime in on this. "thumbsup"

Tis likely a broken center pin. take the six screws off the face and check.

Thanks for the heads up. I took apart the servo and all looks good in the top of it. Here is what the top looks like on the inside. Will remove the bottom next.

Found the problem in the bottom of the servo. Looks like the gasket was not installed correctly and let water in and it killed the motor. Sad day, I really liked this servo, it served me well.

Can see the gasket and where water got around it since it was not in right.

With the flash can see the goop/rust by the motor.
