Default Noob steering calibration question

I have a Spektrum DX5C transmitter, SRS6000 receiver and Tactic servo on a SCX10.2 rig. The radio/receiver are new and where I'm stuck. If there is an easy answer just give me direction. I looked around a bit, not sure I know what to look for though.

I got the steering trimmed fine in a straight line, but it only goes to full lock steering to the left, to the right I get maybe to 25% travel. What am I missing?

The trick is to do this:

Remove the servo horn.
This is usually held in place using a small Philips head screw. Center your trim control on your transmitter for your steering.
Use your hand to move your wheels so that they should be steering straight and slide the servo horn back onto the steering servo. Replace the screw.
Now you should be able to fine tune your trim to drive straight.

Next you need to set the End points (sometimes called Travel Adj). Turn the wheel in one direction and watch for any binding in the steering linkage. Chances are that the servo will want to try and move the wheels farther than the linkage will allow. The end points set how far the transmitter will tell the servo to move. Back it off (or make it move more, if needed) the adjustment so that the wheels steer as far as possible without getting bound up. If the servo tries to move when it is jammed up, it could break so be careful.
Do this for the other steering direction too.

That should get you going!

If I can explain anything better, just ask.

Really appreciate it, thanks much. Makes complete sense to me. I'll give it a try!

The way I set EPA is I carefully turn the steering wheel until the servo starts buzzing, then back off EPA until it stops, then so forth until I get full lock (with no buzzing)

According to some people improperly set EPA can burn your servo.

That makes sense too, hopefully I can figure it out with the Spektrum radio.
