Default Spektrum dx5c

Have a dx5c with srs6000 reciever. I try an bind reciever an radio with avc disabled but will not turn off.
I put both bind plugs in like manual say, but will not turn off.
In order for it to work right I have to put values to avc to zero to function properly. Turning off avc on remote does not fix either. Manual say avc uses two channels. Trying to free them up.
Any help would be appreciated

I even emailed spektrum an they said there is no known issue an told me follow instructions

I've done this with my DX4c - make sure the two plugs are in the correct position.

As it says in the manual, even a servo will act as a disable plug; If I were trying everything, I would plug a servo into all of the aux channels then try the bind procedure.

And, are you sure the bind procedure is actually happening correctly (shown by the led light)?

Tried a servo too. Binding procedure worked. Cause I'm using remote. But manual said reciever should blink with avc off but light is solid

If the (re)binding process is done incorrectly, it won't break the existing binding, it just won't have the effect you want.

Well I finally got it figured out. I was trying to bind reciever like it was the non avc reciever an not calibrating full throttle, brake an right an left. Now the avc is turned off. Thanks for everyone's input.

I have been told you can also turn on avc in the transmitter and set it to 0%, which effectively turns it off.

If you want to use the aux channels for something other than AVC, you must do the disable/rebind process.
