i have searched but came up lost.is there a chart to go by to convert a 550 to a 540 or vice versa by the number of turns or does anyone know for sure what the difference in the two would be?example:17t 550=how many turns 540 to replace it.thanks

Someone correct me if im wrong but i think the turns on 550 and 540 are equal unless it's a 3-slot vs 5-slot armature.

The 550 is just longer so it has more torque and less heat.

Based on the chart a 550 will have the same speed as a 540 with ~30% more turns. Longer armatures use longer wire [per turn], and more wire length results in slower speeds.
