Updated the file with my own settings for the Bomber RR10.

I kept the Forward / Reverse mode and made the rest more rock racer friendly.
Hopefully it dosen't front-flip too hard or destroy its gears on the test run...

Don't be shy, share some more settings !
Don't forget to include the type of truck and the intended use.

OMG this ESC is the titz! I didn't realize the power button was backlit, that's the best part!

Not really. But man, was this easy to set up, calibrate & program, thanks to my second favorite Canuck, of course

Glad I didn't read the instruction manual for the programming card too studiously...it wanted me to disconnect the RX wire and stick that into the card. Plugged the card cable into the header on the ESC, powered it up and it worked great w/o disconnecting the RX.

Mated with this HH motor I think this new rig is gonna be schweet.

Sucks, though...I may have to order nine more and swap out everything but the HH and Castle ESC's currently in service (light in the power switch does it).

Here's my initial settings based on the 80% trail / 20% crawl I do and what I set my Castle ESC's to...and other's choices:

1 - 3
2 - 1
3 - 3
4 - 2
5 - 4
6 - 2
7 - 9
8 - 1
9 - 4
10 - 2
11 - 4
12 - 4
13 - 5
14 - 1
15 - 2

Have to admit I was really impressed with how this ESC performed! Settings seem to be spot on for my tastes too.

Need moar now.

i would never tell somebody here they did something pointless. this place is all about helping out and making things easy for the next guy and so on...
if you have been doing this for 50 years and you can program an ESC in your sleep, GREAT! but what about everyone else? everyone is a n00b at some point.

this is excellent (see what i did there) and i will refer back when i get my 1080 soon. Thanks for compiling all of this!

Updated to include m2tech's settings.

I will also change my own to 50% drag brake since it won't be a pure crawler.

By the way if your body allows it, leave the program cable plugged in and available in the cockpit / under the body so you can make changes on the fly.

Thx

Just a warning. I left the programming cable plugged into the ESC one one of my trucks (I think it was the TRX-4) and somehow it caught on something.
This bent the pins on the ESC where the programming cable plugs into. For this reason I'd recommend against it.

Did someone accuse you of saying something disparaging, buddy? You sound kinda defensive there.

It's really not that hard to understand each setting and set it to your needs and the characteristics of your rig.

Copy that...and noted, and approved. I wondered if there weren't a post or two surreptitiously redacted as a result of a significant emotional event.

So Does anyone have a setup for very good low speed control? Seeing as we dont have a throttle curve, what settings are yall using for the buttery molasses slow low speed control?

My settings are smooth as butter.
Look at the Excel sheet, 2mtech also has similar settings.

I recently reduced drag brake to 50% because i use it for more speed than crawling.

Ive copied Jboucher's settings and have been very pleased with this ESC. I upgraded from the stock axial AE-5l, and the 1080 makes that look like some sort of arduino hack job with the lack of smoothness and silence.

Thanks man for the effort, it's really nice that there are still people like you out there willing to share their knowledge and help others, i just received my first 2 1080 hobbywing escs (shhh..don't tell castle on me, i feel like i am cheating) , and i programmed the first one, going to install it tonight and try out the settiengs tomorrow, i was blown away at the size of this esc, i hadn't payed attention to that, it's very small.

It's really a shame the hobbywing Bluetooth module dosen't work with the 1080.
I would buy it for my Bomber since it's so damn annoying to get to the program port inside the cage...
