|  Tekin FXR 30T pro combo with 3s?
So I picked up the FXR 30T combo for a really good deal but when I started to read the manual on the FXR it says only 35T and up on 3s Lipo. I assume this is correct but wanted to see what the thought is on this. I will be running this setup with a CC BEC. I’m new to crawling so I don’t know my crawling electronics very well. I would like the option of running both 3s and 2s but is this combo going to limit me to 2s? What happens when you run less turns on the fxr on 3s? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So I noticed some conflicting info on the Tekin website. On the product page for the FX-R it states 35T limit for 3s and on the manual page it lists 30T as the limit for 3s. I hope the latter is correct but don’t want to just assume and burn it up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

All I can say is that it's been stated on these forums that Tekin has a habit of listing specs that are conservative. They do make very high quality products that stand up to a lot of abuse. Hopefully someone will chime in stating that they've run that combo on 3S without issues. I'd like to think since a HobbyWing 1080 can deal with it, the FXR should have no problems whatsoever... Cool! I just talked to the guy at the local hobby store because I need to get my castle creations BEC reprogrammed for 6 V anyway and he said the restriction on the FXR is due to the internal BEC so with the external one I should have no problem with 3s. FYI I only have Mac or I would have reprogrammed it at home. Also why I went with Tekin... can change figure with my iPhone. Hey awallspdx...i’ve Run a 27t on an fxr w/3s...the motor got a little warm, probably because of the gearing, but no issues with the esc...

The blue tooth is a nice thing. It allows me to tweak drag break and reverse speed easily. I do hope that in a future release of the software I will be able to set custom throttle curve and pull the telemetry. +1 on packaging!
