| Can bad battery take out ESC?
This weekend I bought a mean machine... after much reading here, I know it is: dual ESC, MOA, and BEC wired to steering servo. It had not been run in a few years. The guy could not get the batteries to charge proper. I asked to see it powered. We tried anyways... it ran briefly for the demo. Can definitely smell burnt electronics after said demo. Can I pretty much assume 1 of the 2 ESCs are blown? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Can bad battery take out ESC? Sorry - wasn't able to edit above post I swapped the plugs on the receiver and the ESC driving the front wheels was underpowered and sporadic in both configurations. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

| Re: Can bad battery take out ESC?
I apologize for starting a new thread. In the spirit of adding something constructive to the question: I was able to pull the settings off of the rear ESC using a hotwire 2.0. I replaced the ESC for the front motor. After some trial and error to get the new ESC to connect, I input the same settings as the rear ESC and everything seems to work... now I just have to learn to drive a car with two sticks |
