Default Receiver Binding Issue

I’m trying to bind a Spektrum 3ch receiver to my Spektrum DX4c and it will not link. Any ideas as to why?

What kind of receiver is it (DSM, DSM2, DSMR, DSMX)?

The DX4C is only compatible with DSM2 and DSMR receivers.

I had this problem with my FlySky GT3C and receiver. It turns out I had the servo and ESC plugs in backwards. I put them in at the correct polarity and then it worked fine.

I know it is stupid, but it is always good to eliminate the obvious.

Good point here. If the RX is not powering up at all, check your connectors making sure you have them plugged in properly.

If it is powering up, then it is an issue between the TX and RX.

Actually, mine powered up, it just wouldn't bind or respond to input from the transmitter.

The whole thing made me miss Futaba plugs from the old days...

It is DSM2, just for some reason it won’t bind.

Try turning down the frame rate.

I had issues binding and I think it is because I had the radio too close to the receiver. Once I moved it over a foot away to like 3ft away it bound right away.
This was with a spektrum dsmr receiver.
Could be a coincidence.
