|  Surpass ESC wires
I bought a cheap ESC from Surpass, I was wondering if there is a way to know the polarity of the wires that go to the motor, they are all black.. Thank you |

Just connect them. If the motor turns in the correct direction then black is to black and red is to red. If not, reverse the wires. On the bench without connecting to the motor a VOM cam be connected to the two leads while the esc is actuated to check polarity. |

You will be okay! Connect the three output wires from the ESC to any of the three motor wires. If the motor spins the wrong way, swap any two of the three wires and it will spin the other direction. |

Just to add this will only work for a sensorless brushless motor, do not do this to a sensored motor as you may damage the ESC or motor. | |
