Hobbywing 1080 in Non Crawler application (SMT10)

Im wondering how well a Hobbywing 1080 will work in a mild SMT10 build. I have an extra one laying around as a back up and want to throw it in an upcoming SMT10 build I have planned, just dont want to use the factory Axial AE-5 since you cant get rid of the drag brake. Will likely go brushless evetually, so input on that would also be appreciated. Thank you!

There are no concerns, I had one in mine.

I run a 1080 in one of my on-road cars. You're good to go as long as your gearing is correct.

Yes, it is insane that Axial put a drag brake only ESC in a monster truck!

I think they're great for bashers as well. They will handle virtually any brushed motor and you can customise all the settings.

Perfect thanks for the input! Never ran one in anything but crawlers so I wasn’t to sure.
