Wraith spawn and HH torque master 550&Brxl

Hey all, looking for some help on this problem I’m having. I have a spawn that is about a month old and decided to upgrade motor. I ordered a HH 550 21t torque master and installed it with stock ae-5 esc. My gearing is 56-10 and after about 30 min of running it stopped going in reverse and acting funny so I checked esc and it was really hot. I unplugged it for a while and tried again and still no reverse and noticed when I turn my transmitter off before unplugging battery that motor would run wide open after a few seconds with out transmitter on. So I figured I burnt esc and email HH about this and Justin told me that there was no way that motor caused esc to burn up. So I ordered one of their Brxl torque master esc’s and Installed it today and I have reverse but motor still runs wide open when transmitter is off. Can anyone tell me what I’m doing wrong or if anyone has had this problem. Thanks

Sounds like you need to start at the calibration step. Heat can be caused by binding, timing, improper setup.

I went through setup of esc and motor just like instructions said from HH twice. My timing is advanced a little.

Thanks I think I found the problem. I reset rx to factor default and it works now. Thanks for the help
