Ground loop on Rx bypass, yes or no?

I'm crimping connectors and making my own Rx bypass cables to run the BEC direct to the servo without having cut/solder the connections to do it.

My question is this: Should I have the Rx feed grounding to the servo/BEC ground?

Holmes Hobby does it with the ground but when I studied electronics in school (I learned just enough to understand that electrical is all sparks and magic), I was led to believe that that could introduce a ground loop which may or not adversely affect the circuit.

My thought process is that what I'm trying to accomplish is the same as what I've previously done by soldering my BEC directly to the servo leads. I didn't ground the Rx feed in that method and I've never had a problem. So logically, it seems I should not need to ground the Rx feed (it's already grounded through the ESC).

I've made my first couple without grounding the Rx feed and they seem to work just fine, but am I going to run into problems down the line?

Yes. if you dont you will notice weird behavior and glitching.

I've had no issues using HH bypass adapters or my own adapters wired up the same.

I've set up many bypass typeplugs without a ground and the only one that screwed me up was flysky. They REQUIRE a ground or weird randomness will happen. Acting like the servo is browning out even with a bec powering the servo directly, esc glitching etc. With spectrum and sanwa/airtronics they don't require the ground in my experience.

I am glad to find this post, this was exactly my doubt

I notice that Holmes Hobbies has an adapter that allows the use of an external BEC for servo power without needing to disable ESC's internal BEC, I think that this I what I need but I notice some difference on my diagram VS the Holmes bypass, so apparently I have to correct my diagram
