That amount of power would be perfect it your goal is ripping axles off your rig. I would rather a weaker winch that won't destroy my stuff.

Im still getting great fun out of my 3 racing winch, and it seems more than capable. 30$ too!

If you cant be bothered to pick the rig up if it is wedged that hard then you deserve to rip the axles right out from under the rig.

Clearly you don't understand why people use winches. Which is fine. It's because they don't want to pick to pick up their rigs. It's more work to use a winch, and that's part of the fun, as is the scale realism.

Do you ever get tired of comming in here telling people what they enjoy doing is stupid?
It's pretty rude.

English is tough I guess.

If you're stuck so bad axles are removed by a winch that's too strong to stall then a lesser winch would not move the rig and you'd be picking it up anyway.

Only in scale RC is winching considered fun or enjoyable. In the real world winching SUCKS and people will do whatever is necessary to avoid pulling cable or rope. Been there, done that. 1 ton axles & 44" swampers meant my winch was there to recover someone else.

Most of the time that power isn't an issue as your probably just trying the get up something too steep. Its just the one time your not paying enough attention, maybe the back tire you can't see gets stuck in a crack you forgot about, bad things can happen.
But you get sweet bragging rights.

If you have a less powerful winch and need more power, maybe see if there is a scale snatch block you can use to double up the power. At that point you will be more aware of the power applied as you had to go through the extra work to apply it.

Personally, I feel the winch isn't there to pull you up a hill, but it's there to help hold your car down (usually the front end) to the hill then have your tires drive you up. Just to keep you from tipping over and this doesn't take all that much force, oh, and to look cool :P

In a RC Trophy run its necessary you use a fast powerfull winch ,watch for Rainforest challenge! not every 4x4 RC is for crawling only.

Very nice winch. Has a built in controller. Plug it in like a servo.

That is why I like them. Built in controller. Do not need to add an extra ESC or controller to use the winch. Saves space and weight.

well my $10 servo winch will lift my rig straight up in the air with out issue i never riped off a axle and i have way more torque than i need the chineesium winch looks awsome not very strong but still fun

i use my 1:1 winch all the time for everything i used it to set a 2000lb beam 2 storys high at a construction site lol i used it to demolish a house move cargo containers move cars load cars on trailers even if sead car had no wheels ive pulled boats up launch ramps ive used it for a cherry picker to pull motors once i pulled a car out in to the middle of the street cause they were blocking my driveway and one time i was actualy stuck with a 4000lb trailer in the sand and blew 2 axle shafts and was down to 1 wheel drive that was the only time that winch ever strugled come to think about it i dont remeber ever fixing that rig
