Default TRX4 light kit help

I’m trying to install a Bronco light kit onto a truck that no longer has its oem esc. The kit (which seems quite nice) is TOO plug and play. There’s a single conductor wire that plugs into the rx and a two conductor that plugs into the lead hanging out of the XL5HV, that I no longer have....

Does anyone know what the red single wire running to the rx is for?
Does anyone know what voltage is present at the lead on the XL5?
Thanks for any help!

Oh, and I AM running a BEC..

The JST plug is battery power into the 8028 light power supply, the red wire is a switch wire that turns the 8028 on and off with the ESC. You will need to provide an additionsal JST connector off the battery lead to power the 8028. The red JST connector on the original XL5 is just a tap off the battery voltage.
