Default Is it trashed ? My battery ?

So i have a brand new GForce 11.1 60c 2200 mah battery, it looks puffed, never ran it until a few days ago. One cell reads 3.16v the other 2 cells read 3.56/57 give or take.

So is it trashed or can i still use it ? Thanks guys .

Is it "round as a sausage"-puffed or just "a bit squishy"-puffed? Either way, run a balance charge on it, wait a day or two, and recheck the cells. If the cells are within about 0.1-0.2V of each other, it should still be okay; give it a low-stress run (read: no speed runs, and check the temperature frequently) and recheck the cells, same voltage rule applies here. If the cells get way off from each other from just sitting after the charge, or if they're way off from a low-stress run, then it's probably dead. Also, if it DOES look like a sausage, you can still try this, but be even more cautious...

If it's brand new and puffed return it.

Not necessarily trash, but it sure isn't a good battery. See if they will replace it. If not I'd say it's a good time to start avoiding GForce.

Light puff, squishy-ish puff, i drained the battery waited a day or so checked the battery agian, 1 cell 3.03 2 cell 3.56 3 cell 3.58, plugged it into the charger, cell's are real close a number or two off of each other, a good sign ??

Get one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/Tenergy-Batte.../dp/B0178P8H9U

Balance a battery perfectly down to .01v disparity, and you can measure the internal resistance of each pack too. I'm finding my questionable batteries have respectively varying IR cell-to-cell while my dependable ones are very close to each other.

I'm charging the battery at 0.8 amps just to be safe, and apparently, each cells is identical on the screen.

From my experience with 2 batteries that did that they never fully recovered. The one bad cell would always hit LVC before the other two even though they would charge back up normally.

I have one of those, in Blue..lol.

Thats what was giving me the different readings for each cell.

You still have those batteries, or are they dead now ?

I deaded them myself when they started getting too annoying and possibly unsafe to use, namely when the bad cell would hit 3.2V by the time the others were at 3.8V still.

I got a blue one too, but it doesn't balance and doesn't have the IR function. That one stays in the backpack just to do cell checks on the trail.

So i plug the lipo into the battery checker, all the cells read different with the 1st cell at 3.07(give or take), that's what the checker reads, plug it into the charger, the numbers are real close to each other 3.30something, is the checker wrong , my charger is a Duratrax 235 , when battery is fully charged, its at 4.19 4.20 4.19.
How does one look at that ? Any ideas ?

Good rule of thumb with lipos. When in doubt, throw them out!

I run everything from one cell micro airplanes to 12 cell big helicopters. It's just not worth burning your house down.

So did Gforce get back to you?

I'd say you have a bad cell, I think its an internal resistance issue when it discharges unbalanced.
I would get rid of that thing for sure, hopefully it gets replaced.
