| Flysky GT-3C vs GT5
Hey everyone. I am looking to buy a new radio for an Ascender build I will be starting today. I was looking at the FlySky GT-3C and GT5. I am not sure that I need 6 channels or gyro that the GT5 offers, but I did't know if it was a better radio overall and worth the few extra dollars, or if I should just get the GT-3C? Disregarding number of channels, is one better then the other? Functions, feel, ergonomics, or other things? Thanks. |

Ive got the gt5 n i like it. There is the option to use a batt pack vs 4 AA batts. It seems to be rather easy to navigate thru the menu. Never had a gt3c, but i did look into them a while back Sent from my SM-J327VPP using Tapatalk |

I have a gt3c and so far I’ve had to replace a steering spring, and now the potentiometer is faulty as well. The gt3c is pretty low budget and fragile if you drive your RC’s with any sort of regularity. I’m not sure if the 5 is better, I’m researching that now.

The GT-5 is better in feel, ergonomics and quality IMO. I don't know if it can be hacked, but that has never been a concern of mine. At least the stock firmware is correct - can't be said for the GT3.

can't get the waterproof version of the receiver, so i did it by my self. Like how small the receiver is, only 3*2cm. To get it this small they use 2 circuit boards. I put some layers seal spray on it afterwards i closed the gap between the board with silicon glue. More if i have it installed in my little monster. Gesendet von meinem Pixel 2 XL mit Tapatalk |

Just as an FYI, Amazon is now listing a waterproof version of the FlySky FS-GR3E receiver - compatible with FS-GT2, FS-GT2B, FS-GT3B, FS-GT3C, and FZ-IT4S transmitters. Less than $17 - light blue label is the tip-off. This may have been out for a while, but I hadn't seen the listing before. Ordered one for my GT3-C, which I prefer because of its included USB-rechargeable LiPo tx, lanyard loop, and 10-model memory. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077N5TQTB...ustomerReviews |

Got the waterproof (likely, water resistant...) FlySky FS GR3E 3ch receiver from Amazon today - it's identical in size and appearance other than the pale blue label, packaging called it the "upgraded" FS-GR3E.

I read somewhere that the Flysky GT3 only has 70/30 split on the throttle. Can anyone confirm if this is correct? Sent from my LG-H870DS using Tapatalk |
