Servo Wire?

Does any one know what the gauge of servo wire is? I was thinking 30 or 32 but not sure.

Re: Servo Wire?

I believe Hitec uses 22 gauge.

I use 28 gauge for wiring LED lights and that is so fine it is a pain in the ass. Never seen 30 or 32 gauge in my local electronics supply house. I would really hate to have to work with that.

I came up with 30/32 as a wild guess. Any electric supply store is a 2 hour drive for me so I have to order something. I have some room so I think I'll go with 22.

Re: Servo Wire?

you can find servo wire on ebay quite cheap. 3 conductor 20awg , a few meters is about 20 bucks. (4 or 5 meters)

The end crimps arent too costly either, just try to stick with gold plated. (silver ones ive tried all had weak spring fingers)

are you replacing servo wires or just a project type. i only ask because it can be a pain to re-terminate on the servo board. i swear they use the thinest copper traces possible, and if its got the coating (conformal?) for water proofing, be even more careful it dosent pull the trace up.
