Traxxas Motor issue/question

So I know this isn't RC, but it's related. I put two Traxxas Titan 775 motors in my son's power wheels and the vehicle stopped today. Can I hook one up to the power leads on my TRX4 to test the motors? Or do I run a risk of frying the electronics in the truck? Also if I can test it this way...test it on the 2s or 3s lipo?

Thanks for all help and advice in advance.

Just stick the motor leads into the terminals of your lipo, but don't forget that the motor will try to fly around if it still works.

Yeah just ghetto rig some wire from the battery to the motor. I bet the speed controller on that car took a shit though.
