3-channel receiver recommendation for a DX3E?

I got a Basher Rocksta for Christmas, and am now completely addicted to 4ws. Crab mode is the bomb.

Going from a 4ws micro to a stock gen7 Everest is pretty painful :]

So I'm going to pick up one of Heyok's 4ws kits:

...and I was going to pick up a GT3B to use with it, when I remembered that I have a DX3E here, and could probably just pick up a cheap receiver to go with it, since I'm also looking at spending a lot on other parts to get this kit beefed up.

The thing is that there's DSM, DSMR, DSMX etc now, and I'm not certain which receiver would be best for this.

[edit] looks like dsm2 is my thing. I’ve found a few that look interesting, but none are waterproof,

I might still be better off going with the GT3B for the programability, but I thought I'd ask the experts.
