Default SCX 10 2 going full reverse without stopping

Hi y'all,

My SCX 10 2 RTR is stuck in reverse. I checked my controller trim settings, I checked the reciever, I can still turn so my controller is still bound. I unplugged the esc from the reciever and it still runs full speed in reverse. I also replaced the batteries in my tx.

I'm thinking it is the esc but some advice would be great. The esc is the AxialAE-5
Thanks in advance for the help.

Alan

By chance have you accidentally bumped the throttle reverse switch on the backside of the remote?

And it’s still operating in reverse? Even though you’ve tried reversing the switch, then seeing if the throttle is still backwards?
That is strange, I’d’ve thought that the switch would make it operate the in the other direction.

I have one of those ESCs but I never powered it up, or read any information about how they operate.

I agree, I thought it would change direction. I'mpretty sure my esc is fried somehow. I've never heard of this happening, lol

I think your ESC is fried. Spend $40 on a Hobbywing 1080, the best bang for your buck brushed esc.

Seems if you unplugged the esc from the reciever and it still does it, it's an esc issue. Not sure what it is, but I do know the best solution to fix it, unplug it complelty, pull it from your rig, and install a hobby wing 1080(as previously stated).

Have you tried calibrating the esc? perhaps disconnect the motor when you do so you don't need to chase it.
Even if that fixes the problem and the esc is not fried, I would still throw it away and buy a hobbywing 1080.
