Default Please help with Spektrum DX8 G2 setup

I cannot calibrate the Hobbywing 1080 ESC on the throttle channel. Even when I start with the stick in the middle. I’ve been at this for 2 hours. Using an AR8000 receiver. Was able to bind the receiver (with throttle stick all the way down) but that is it.

If I plug the steering servo into any of the other channels and move the stick that controls that particular channel I get nothing either.

Any ideas....I’m at my wits end.

Are you positive you are bound correctly. I'm not in my shop now, but doesn't the AR8000 require a sat? I've only used this in aircraft.

Yes, once we plugged in the other receiver that plugs into the AR8000 it worked as it should. The kid who helped me at the Hobby shop didn’t know that. He did not give me the satellite receiver with it, as the receiver was pulled from another transmitter set and he sold me it separately.
