I removed the 2 wire harnesses from the ESC, filled the hole with dielectric grease, plugged the wires back in, and then wiped the excess off. That way the opening is entirely surrounded by grease and no water can get down in the plug. | |

I'm running 2 Mamba X's and I operate in fairly similar conditions to you. I've never had any problems like you're having and I routinely submerge my rig and run in snow all the time. I strongly feel that the switch is probably the source of your problem. Removing the junk switches is always the first thing I do when I get a new ESC. Cut it off and report back.. If you really want a switch, look into a dead man switch or something similar, look Powershift RC, they've got a decent line of dead man switches. Those switches that come on ESC's should never be depended on, even when they're brand new they don't provide TRUE on/off functionality (there's always some current flowing through them).. |
