Default Running 1080 in reverse

Hello again community. Got a simple question about a Hobbywing 1080. Will running the ESC in reverse hurt it? If I set the reverse speed to 100% and lower the forward speed to 50%, will it have any adverse effects? Long story, don't ask...

The 1080 only handles half the amps in reverse compared to forward, may not be an issue with a low power brushed motor though.

I would reverse the motor direction so everything is running in the correct direction.
