Default Savox SW-1210SG parts

I'm a big fan of the Savox SW-1210SG. have it on 4 of my 5 RC crawlers. Got my hands on a used one and thought I'd try to fix it if I could find a replacement main board. I check Savox site and they offer everything as spares except the electronics parts. Are these available nowhere or do most other boards from other servos, including different brands, work on this model? At the end of the day they ALL do the same thing, and that is to control a motor. Am I right to say that if I can find a board that physically fits the Savox SW-1210SG, complete with potensiometer, that it should work?

Cheers

Read your comment late last night and decided not to answer until I tried getting the motor out. I normally snap the board as I never use it but this time I wanted to keep it on one piece and i could NOT get the board and the motor out. Something is holding it inside and I cannot see inside the cover!

Ya it's driving me nuts.

Yes, worse still is not being about to remove the dead parts, at least I cannot find out how to do it unless I snap the board in 2
