Long shot: Is there a fix for Spektrum DX series scroll wheels?

So I've got an older DX3R that has taken great care of me for many years. Well it's recently came down with the jumpy menu scroll wheel issue. Searching around I'm only finding posts from 5 years ago with dead ends.

Anybody know somebody who has a scroll wheel fix?

I have the same with my DX4S. It's just about usable now,but gone to a Flysky Noble. I did see somewhere that someone had replaced the micro switch themselves, but cannot remember where.
