Castle Mamba X shortage?
 

Has anybody else noticed that EVERYBODY is out of Mamba X ESCs and ESC/motor combos?

The ESC is still available, just limited. But yeah Castle has said they had production issues of motors in Asia. I believe they're supposed to be slowly getting back into stock by next month.
The ESC is made here in America, Kansas to be exact, but the motors are made in China.

I think the ESC is assembled here from foreign components.

I read something that made me believe it was a motor shortage due to magnet supply issues or something like that. I forget where I read it. I didn't know it was also difficult to get their ESCs

That could be, I haven't had any issues as of yet getting ESCs. But motors have been getting harder and harder to find since fall.

Everywhere I looked is out of stock on the ESC.

Alright, I guess they have gotten hard to find in the last few weeks.
If you're really in need, there are some Hobbytown USA locations that will ship if needed.

eBay has some as of this moment. I'm glad I got mine a week or two ago before the shortage really hit.
