Need an ESC for my 412HD Motor

I have Tekin 412HD 1200kv and the truck is a trx4 sport, not a heavy rig right now but it will be in the near future. I do not need the truck to be any faster that the walk speed and it will work on 4s-6s (I lean towards 4s and adjusting the final ratio with the pinion, will see)
So I am looking for an ESC. I have been told that it is better to get the ESC/motor from the same brand for compatibility issues, is that true? In that case I would stick to RX4. Otherwise it could be a Mamba, or HH.
Does anybody use the 412 with other ESC than the RX4 with success?

Mamba X or Mamba Monster X work just fine with the Tekin motors.

Pretty much any ESC that has sufficient power handling capabilities will work but not all ESCs have the tuning options that we need for crawling.

No, that's not true at all. Whoever told you that is giving you uninformed advice so stop listening to them.

As SVT said, the Mamba X is a great ESC and I highly recommend it. It's what is in my TRX-4 Sport.

I would recommend the Mamba X also. I too have it in my TRX-4. I also have the B-Link hooked to it. It makes it nice to be able to program it out on the trail from my phone if I need to.

The B-Link is unobtanium these days! I wish they'd drop the price, but that's obviously not happening if they are selling so good at $50.

As others have said Mamba X or Monster X will work great (the Monster X would be overkill). but if you have some extra cash burning a hole in your pocket the Tekin RX4 is also a good option. Personally I'd recommend the Mamba X, as it's the one of the three I have experience with.

I agree, the price is a little steep. But it is nice to have if for some reason you need to make a quick adjustment when your away from your computer. It works flawlessly on my iPhone and in the end i'm glad I have it. I haven't had to hook up to my computer since.

I didn't realize they are MIA now. They must be hanging out with all the Mamba X and Slate motors that are MIA also!
