Winch installation help

Hello lads, I just received my winch + controller. I bought one of those ebay cheap version of the Warn 9.5 winch with controller.

1- Its controller has 3 wires: One that connects to the winch, one with a tamiya plug and a third one with serve type plug. I recon that I should plug the battery into the tamiya plug (duh!), but which leaves me with an extra wire? What is it for? What do I do with it?

2- This little system is rated to 11v. I'm planning to use a cheap small and light 9v battery. Is it enough?

Cheers

Red plug into receiver, small plug into winch.
But I’m guessing

Why would it go into the receiver? it has its own receiver and remote.

I’ve got no clue, unless the winch is direct powered by the battery and the wireless remote needs rx power.
Makes no sense to me

The small white plug looks the same as the plugs used on most winches, again guessing. The molex/Tamiya plug is definitely going to the battery. As for the Red JST plug its a bit of a mystery, If this is a stand alone unit it should in theory only have 2 sets of wires, one for power/battery and one to connect to the winch.

Have you contacted the seller and asked for instructions? Do you have a link to the listing?

I did a quick search an noticed Yeah Racing makes a similar product but I wasn't able to find a wiring diagram.

I just found a video on installing the yeah racing unit
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/psJelAAAH7c?start=183" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture" allowfullscreen></iframe>

You'll notice he cuts off the wire with the white plug.

But to be sure you may want to connect power and test it while checking the red and white plugs voltage. this should tell you if there are just 2 outputs or not.

Thank you guys! The 3rd wire is as you guys pointed out, just another output cable.
