| Hobbywing Axe + External BEC wiring.
I have a hobbywing AXE on my crawler. I’d like to add a Castle 2.0 BEC. I was looking at using the Holmes Rx bypass harness but ran into a dumb question. The Castle BEC has two outputs to the receiver. Do I need to get two of the Holmes rx bypass harnesses? Or would it be better to not use the Holmes bypass and just remove the red wire feeding the receiver?

The Holmes bypass is just for people who won't modify plugs themselves. Either for warranty reasons or not wanting to solder or just wanting to keep the origional plug unchanged for easier servo swapping later, but it's only a better choice if you can't solder well or don't want the hassle of figuring it out yourself imo. Plug and play. The 2.0 bec has two 10a outlets , you only use one with one servo . The rx bypass eliminates cutting, pulling or soldering, leaving the esc stock Hang up and Drive |
